Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Two men from the state of Puebla were arrested Monday from a central Playa del Carmen beach. The pair were lead away in handcuffs after being reported by a merchant for extortion.
Elements from the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) arrived at the location in response to a 9-1-1 emergency report by a business merchant. Using the descriptions provided, police were able to locate the pair walking in the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighborhood where they were searched.
Among their personal belongings, police found cell phones and an undisclosed amount of cash. Taken into custody were 31 year old Adán Gabriel “N” and 37 year old Plácido “N”, both from Puebla.
