Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Four people who were seen in a sinking vessel near Puerto Juarez were rescued by the Navy. On Tuesday night, others who saw the three men and one woman fishing also saw their boat take on water.
The Secretary of the Navy responded to the report for assistance after high waves began sinking their small vessel near Puerto Juarez. Elements of the Navy headed out to sea where they were able to locate the small boat and four crew.
All four were returned to land without injuries. There was no report on the status of the fishing vessel.
