Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Four people were taken into police custody on the Continental Mainland of Isla Mujeres after they fled from police, entered a private home and began firing at them.
The confrontation between the men and police began while police were preforming surveillance tours. They noticed two men attempting to avoid them, which lead to a pursuit that ended with the men running into a private home and began firing at law enforcement.
Police repelled the attack, entering the home and arresting a total of four men who were found in possession of drugs and weapons.
The alleged were processed and transferred to Centro de Reinserción Social (CERESO) where they continue to be held.
