Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — A five year old girl has been left without parents after both were shot to death in Isla Mujeres. The shooting took place in a residential area of the Continental Mainland during the national holiday Friday.
Nearby neighbors reported gunfire to 911 who sent police. They found the man laying face down on the ground with his wife laying on top outside their rented home. Both had been shot. Witnesses reported seeing men on a motorcycle around the time they heard the gun fire.
Paramedics were called but were unable to do anything more than pronounce both on scene. The little girl was found inside the home and transferred into state custody.
