FGE reports three transferred to Cancun prison from Puerto Morelos on kidnapping charges

Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — Authorities from the FGE has fulfilled three outstanding arrest warrants in the municipality of Puerto Morelos. Three people wanted in connection with a kidnapping have been detained and transferred to Cancun.

In a press release, the FGE reported the arrests of “Antonio “D”, Pedro “B” and Leticia “J” as being singled out for their probable participation in a kidnapping that occurred on August 6, 2022 in the municipality of Puerto Morelos.”

The three were arrested August 29 by Investigative Police attached to the Specialized Kidnapping Investigation Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the FGE, “preliminary data indicates that the events occurred on August 6, 2022 in the municipality of Puerto Morelos. Antonio “D”, Pedro “B” and Leticia “J” – in the company of two other people – probably deprived of liberty a victim with initials JFHG, who was working inside a construction site.

“Relatives of the victim filed the complaint with the social representation who started the corresponding investigation. The acts of field and cabinet investigation allowed the aggressors to be identified and specialized prosecutors requested the arrest warrant before a judge.”

All three have been admitted to the Centro de Reinserción Social de Benito Juárez prison in Cancun.
