Riviera Maya, Q.R. — Drug and domestic violence charges lead the state’s investigations for the past week. On Monday, State Attorney General’s Raciel López Salazar, detailed the week’s arrests.
Over 1,100 new investigations were started across the state from August 21 to 27. Of those, 148 were without arrests, but 71 were with detainees. During that week, there were 106 arrests in flagrante delicto and 22 people taken in on arrest warrants.
For court proceedings, 22 people were officially charged with drug-related crimes while five were for domestic violence. Other charges laid that week include robbery, vehicle theft, homicide and rape.
