Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Police were called to the scene of a late-night discovery on Continental Isla Mujeres Tuesday after a report of a body. The body of a man was found by a driver who stopped along the side of the dark road.
The driver was heading to Cancun when the accidential discovery was made. Red Cross paramedics confirmed the man was deceased. He was found laying on his back in vegetation along the shoulder of Prolongación Kabah Avenue.
According to early information, the body showed signs of physical violence as well as at least one gunshot wound. Police have not released additional details surrounding the discovery.
