Cozumel, Q.R. — A small cruise ship from the Bahamas has been welcomed by Cozumel officials. The vessel Ocean Voyager, operated by Victory Holdings, was welcomed upon docking the island.
Cozumel mayor Juanita Alonso Marrufo said the ship arrived at the Punta Langosta international pier with approximately 80 passengers. The vessel spent the day before setting sail to cover its cabotage route, docking at other ports in Quintana Roo, Yucatán and Campeche.
The Cozumel Director of Tourism, Badih Sleme Flores, gave a cordial welcome to the captain of Ocean Voyager, Gary Kerr, whom he invited to enjoy of the natural beauties of the island and to continue including Cozumel on its coastal tours of the Yucatan Peninsula.
The Ocean Voyager is a river cruise type vessel with a length of 91 meters and a beam of 15 meters. It has capacity for 222 passengers plus crew. It sailed from Cozumel to Seybaplaya, Campeche, then on to Progreso, Yucatan before returning home to the Bahamas.
