Cozumel, Q.R. — A man who fell from his bicycle Wednesday afternoon, has died. The man, who was a Canadian national living on the island, fell while riding his bicycle along 65th Avenue.
Passersby notified authorities of the accident after the man fell from his bike, hitting his head on the pavement. Police attended to the scene, as did an ambulance who transferred the injured man to hospital with head trauma.
The man, identified as 74-year-old Roland G.T., died several hours after being admitted. Witnesses said he fell after trying to avoid loose street dogs that crossed his path.
