Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — The Costa Mujeres Hotel Association has been awarded Goddess Ixchel 2023 as a leading destination in hotel occupancy in the state.
The Diosa Ixchel 2023 was presented to Marissa Setién, Executive Director of the Costa Mujeres Hotel Association by Isla Mujeres Mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde in the company of State Governor, Mara Lezama for “First Hotel occupancy place in the State of Quintana Roo“.
The award was conferred during an Isla Mujeres City Hall meeting within the framework of the celebration of the 173rd anniversary of the founding of the island.
During the delivery of award, Ricalde praised the outstanding work by the Costa Mujeres Hotel Association in collaboration with its valued hotel members, highlighting that the Assocation has positioned Costa Mujeres as a favorite destination for both national and international tourists.
The award was presented after Costa Mujeres (the mainland tourist zone of Isla Mujers) managed to maintain an impressive cumulative hotel occupancy rate of 86.5 percent during the summer vacation period, with peaks that exceeded 90 percent.
These notable results, Ricalde said, are attributed to its strategic location on the mainland of Isla Mujeres as well as the characteristic luxury and careful design of its hotel facilities.
This perfect combination offers visitors an experience that combines elegance with a contemporary style, offering the possibility of enjoying a wide variety of activities in an environment of incomparable beauty.
