According to the FGE, Haiping “P” was identified as a money broker based in Guadalajara, Mexico, and was associated with money laundering and drug trafficking organizations. The extradited man was in charge of laundering the money of drug traffickers based in the United States, sending the money to drug traffickers in Mexico.

In March 2020, Haiping “P” was located in Zapopan, Jalisco and detained for extradition purposes. Subsequently, the Government of Mexico granted the extradition to the US Government. He was handed over to U.S. agents at the Mexico City International Airport.
