Chetumal, Q.R. — A Chetumal man remains in hospital after he collided with the front of a car. The city resident was traveling on his motorcycle when his bike and a private car collided in an intersection.
The driver of the motorcycle flew from his bike into the car’s windshield before being thrown into a metal pole. The man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Witnesses stopped to help the man who was found laying on the concrete ground at the base of a city pole. The crash took place on Insurgentes Avenue and Tzisauche Street.
Witnesses reported seeing the motorcycle driver speeding toward the intersection and the driver of the car ignore the marked stop sign. The motorcycle driver hit the windshield of the car and was subsequently projected against a pole.
The motorcycle driver was unconscious at the scene. Paramedics were called. He was transferred to hospital in serious condition.
