Cancun, Q.R. — Dozens of illegal Indian nationals were removed from a Cancun house Monday during an intense police operation. Authorities located the 57 illegal migrants inside a centrally located home.
According to preliminary information, Cancun police located the residence after a resident complaint of illegal retention. Agents from the FGE (Fiscalía General del Estado) and SSC (Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana) participated in the joint operation.
The home was reported located in SM 27. Inside were 57 Indian nationals believed victims of human trafficking. Police are continuing to investigate how they arrived in Cancun as well as finding those involved in bringing them to the city.
