Busy Isla Mujeres island road paving part of ongoing rehabilitation project

Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — The Director of Public Works of Isla Mujeres says the island road parallel to Punta Sur has been paved. Marcos Velázquez Cabrera says the now-paved road will improve road traffic since it is a busy area during tourist season.

He said the paving of the 1,000-meter-long road was completed in conjunction with the State Government and a crew of 12 workers.

The municipal official explained that due to the paving project, the main access street to Punta Sur was closed to traffic so workers could complete the work. Velázquez Cabrera said the project is part of the rehabilitation work being done around the municipality.
