Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Two people who were shot and killed Wednesday in Isla Mujeres is believed a settling of scores. The bodies of the two brothers were found in Rancho Viejo in the Continental Zone of Isla Mujeres.
The two women who found the dead bodies informed authorities. Elements of Public Security and the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) arrived at the scene where they found the executed men.
Near the scene were also two cars believed owned by the deceased. One of the women, a 25-year-old Amayrani N, was the girlfriend of one of the dead men. She told police that the two men were brothers, both of whom, worked in the Costa Mujeres Hotel Zone.
For the past several years, that area of Isla Mujeres has been known for its illegal activity between construction workers and drug dealers.
