Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Residents who reported a strong smell lead Isla Mujeres police to a dead body. On Thursday morning, officers responded to the 8:30 a.m. report of the smell.
When they arrived, they located the bagged body of what turned out to be an adult male. The body was found in overgrowth near a highway leading to Punta Sur. Information surrounding the body has not been released while police continue to investigate.
