Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — The Secretariat of the Navy of Mexico says they responded to a medical evacuation request of an American cruise ship passenger by the ship’s captain.
The medical evacuation was carried out by naval health personnel after the captain of Crystal Symphony, a ship of Crystal Cruises, made the call for help.
The medical evacuation took place near Punta Sur at Isla Mujeres where the 76-year-old male was removed from the ship and transported to a waiting ambulance on land.
The American man was transferred to a Cancun hospital for internal bleeding. He was listed in stable condition.
