Riviera Maya, Q.R. — This weekend, alcohol sales will be limited to specific restaurants and bars while the state votes a new governor. On Saturday and Sunday, alcohol sales in the state of Quintana Roo will be limited to restaurants and bars in tourist areas only for the June 5 election day.
The Ministry of Finance and Planning of Quintana Roo says the dry law begins midnight June 4 and lasts until the end of day, June 5. With this, the agency has ordered the temporary suspension of the sale of alcoholic beverages throughout the state.
Bars and restaurants located in the tourist areas are exempt from the dry law.
