Bacalar, Q.R. — The bodies of two men were found near a ranch in the municipality of Bacalar. On Friday morning, people from the nearby ranch in the community of El Cedralito made the discovery.
The finding of the bodies was reported to emergency 9-1-1 at 8:37 a.m. Police who responded to the report arrived to find two men partially clothed laying faceup in a grassy area.
Both were found with bullet wounds.
Personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office were part of the scene. Evidence was collected before the bodies were removed. Police did not say if shell casings were located in the same area as the bodies.
An autopsy will confirm their identity and official causes of death.
