Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A gunman who witnesses say arrived on foot, shot and killed a man inside a Playa del Carmen restaurant. The shooting happened Tuesday night at a restaurant in the city’s Colosio neighborhood.
Responding officers were told that after the man was shot, the gunman ran toward a waiting vehicle. According to reports, after a police search, one person was taken into custody. Municipal Police have not commented on if the detained person was the shooter or a person of interest for questioning.
The man shot was the restaurant’s cook. Paramedics arrived only to confirm the man’s death. Two patrons from inside the restaurant were treated for shock.
