Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — Half a dozen vehicles in a police corral were burned beyond saving. Locale firemen from Leona Vicario were requested at the scene to put out the burning vehicles.
The fire was reported at the State Attorney General’s (FGE) Office of Felipe Carrillo Puerto around 4:00 a.m. Friday morning. Firemen spent more than an hour battling spreading flames. By the time the fires were out, a total of six vehicles had been destroyed.
Elements of the Municipal Police and Civil Protection were part of the responding team. An investigation into the fire is underway since the vehicles that burned were being investigated for their relation to local crimes.
