Judge orders woman to stand trail in human trafficking case

Othón P. Blanco, Q.R. — An Othón P. Blanco woman has been charged with human trafficking in the form of prostitution. On Sunday, the State Attorney General’s Office reported that after presenting evidence, Keily Lily “N” was charged for prostituting a teenager.

“According to the first acts of investigation, between the months of February and November 2022, the accused, taking advantage of the closeness and family relationship with the victim, is accused of sexually prostituting her with several men in the town of Tres Garantías,” the agency reported.

“The Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Combating Crimes of Trafficking and Exploitation of Girls, Boys and Adolescents, based on the complaint, began an investigation in which it gathered the necessary elements that allowed it to request and obtain from a judge an order of arrest against Keily Lily “N”, which was completed by the Investigative Police,” they explained.

Keily Lily “N” was arrested on an outstanding warrant and is to remain imprisoned in the city of Chetumal during her trial.
