Former Playa del Carmen employees torch bosses car

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A vehicle in a centrally located parking lot of a grocery store was intentionally set ablaze Friday. Responding officers found one vehicle on fire in a parking lot located on Avenida 45 around 1:40 a.m.

Two males were arrested shortly afterward on Avenida 90 in a car they used to flee the scene. They were identified as those responsible for setting the vehicle ablaze.

After their arrest, the pair allegedly admitted to setting the vehicle of their former boss on fire with Molotov cocktails. According to the unidentified detained, they had both recently been fired from the grocery store.

Firemen were called to the scene to extinguish the burning car. The pair were turned over to the public ministry.
