Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — The driver of a car caused considerable damage to his own vehicle and a parked car in Felipe Carrillo Puerto. According to witnesses, the driver of a red car was traveling along 61st Street around 11:30 p.m. when he slammed into a parked vehicle.
Witnesses said he rebounded off that parked car and into a second parked vehicle a few meters ahead. Police responding to the Saturday night report found two private cars heavily damaged.
The male driver of the red car is alleged to have lost control at the intersection of 68th Street and Benito Juárez Avenue. The late night crash caught the attention of area residents who called emergency services.
Police reported only material damage to the vehicles and no injuries. It is not clear how the driver of the red car came to crash into the first parked car, however, he was arrested from the scene and held for damages.
