Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — Approximately 80 kilos of narcotics were removed from a Puerto Morelos beach over the weekend after the bags were found washed up. The six large bags were guarded by police until federal officials arrived to tag and remove them.
The bags, which authorities said contained marijuana, were transferred to the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) in Cancun. Authorities will investigate to try and determine where they came from.
