Othón P. Blanco, Q. R. — An injured criminal was handed over by his armed counterparts to paramedics Tuesday night. The unusual incident happened near the small Mayan community of Ucum.
According to data obtained, an ambulance was intercepted by five armed men carrying long weapons aboard a black pickup truck. There, they handed over a badly injured male of around 30, who had been shot several times.
The paramedic report details that the unit’s medical personnel were intercepted and at gunpoint, told to transport the injured man to hospital, however, he died on site.
The armed men then fled, which is when paramedics notified authorities. So far, the circumstances under which the victim was injured and subsequently died have not been clarified.
