Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A 1.3 billion peso supply centre is nearing completion in its first phase of construction. On Friday, Mayor Lili Campos announced the first phase of the building, which she says, will be the largest in the state.
In a press release, Campos reported touring the facility earlier this week. During the tour, the mayor pointed out that “the renewal of Solidaridad will continue with comprehensive projects that will impact the well-being of families of Solidaridad as well as the growth of the municipality.”
Wilbert Gutiérrez, Project Director of the Central de Abastos de Playa del Carmen, explained that the first phase is being built, which will be the largest in the state, with an investment of 1.3 billion pesos and with the creation of 1,500 direct jobs and more than 3,000 indirect jobs.
There was no information provided as to what the supply center will be used to supply or how many phases will be included before it is considered complete. There was also no information on its location or anticipated completion date.
