Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — A woman from the town of Leona Vicario has been charged with the murder of a man. The woman, identified by police as María del Rosario “N”, has been accused of the 2019 shooting death.
In a statement, police said María del Rosario “N” is accused of pulling the trigger after the man hit her partner. Police did not provide details that lead to the hit or the subsequent shooting.
The deceased man, who has not been named, died as a result of the shooting. On Saturday, María del Rosario “N” was officially charged with qualified homicide in his death.
“María del Rosario “N” was charged for events that occurred on March 3, 2019, in the town of Leona Vicario in Puerto Morelos when she shot a man with a firearm, who moments before had hit her partner.
“As a result of the injuries caused by the device, the victim died,” police said in a statement.
