Akumal, Q.R. — Neighbors who reported a water leak inside a boarding house lead police to a dead body. The leak was reported to the owner of the building who found a deceased tenant inside. The finding was made Thursday on Punta Brava Street in the town of Akumal.
Inside, police found the body of a deceased male under a running shower. The shower was believed intentionally left running. The body is believed to have been dead around three days before being found.
The victim has been identified as 32 year old Nicanor “J” from the state of Tabasco. According to available information, his body was found under the running shower with several stab wounds.
Personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office arrived to remove the body. Neighbors reported last seeing the man on Sunday in the company of another person they had not seen before.
