Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — A two vehicle crash near the town of Andrés Quintana Roo Friday night left one destroyed. Both drivers of the corresponding vehicles and the passengers inside the pickup were not seriously hurt.
On Friday evening, a dump truck and pickup collided head on outside the town of Andrés Quintana Roo in the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto. Those involved in the accident made the report to authorities around 7:00 p.m.
National Guard Highways arrived at the scene to divert traffic due to a blocked lane and scattered debris. Tow trucks eventually arrived to remove both vehicles from the federal highway. An ambulance was not called since those involved did not make the request due to a lack of serious injuries.
Authorities have not commented on how the head on crash happened.
