Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — José Alberto Alonso Ovando, the Director of the State Strategic Projects Agency (Agepro) says two federal highway overpasses are being worked on.
Those federal highway overpasses are part of the 2025 Agepro (Agencia de Proyectos Estratégicos del Estado) of Quintana Roo projects.
He says both are planned for the federal 307 highway at Puerto Morelos. One, he reported, will be at Bahía Petempich and the other at Crococun. The financing necessary for both projects is currently being arranged.
Another project is the promotion of 400 hectares near Bacalar for investment in solar energy. He says the state is hoping to boost the development of clean energy in the south.
He also mentioned the ongoing overpass project for Tulum. That project will see a road diversion to improve the flow of traffic, especially now that the Tulum airport is up and running.
Ovando said that these projects are being developed in a context of political transition with the arrival of the new federal government, which will bring new priorities and policies.
The State Strategic Projects Agency seeks to position Quintana Roo so that, under the management of Governor Mara Lezama, the necessary resources can be obtained to continue with the development of infrastructure.
