Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A Monday night traffic accident has left at least two vehicles severely damaged after a driver slammed into a parked SUV. Witnesses told police that the driver of the car was traveling at excessive speed along Arco Vial of Playa del Carmen at around 8:30 p.m. when he clipped the back driver’s side of the SUV.
The SUV, which was double parked in front of a home, was struck with impact hard enough to cause the speeding car to flip and land on its roof. Injuries were not reported. The driver of the car was arrested and transferred to police traffic facilities to ensure payment of damages.
