Cozumel, Q. R. — Six properties have been seized by the State of Quintana Roo after searches. On Friday, the State Attorney General’s Office searched a total of six homes on the island of Cozumel.
The homes were searched by varying groups of legal authorities during the day for drug and firearm related crimes. The searches were carried out in buildings located on Adolfo Rosales Salas Street, 73 Avenida Sur and 80 Avenida Bis in the Flores Magón neighborhood of Cozumel.
Between the six residences, police located drugs that included marijuana and cocaine as well as several weapons and ammunition. State officials did not say why those particular homes were searched, only that police had been granted search warrants for the addresses.
