Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — An afternoon single vehicle accident along a section of Puerto Morelos highway created long weekend traffic chaos. On Friday, the driver of a truck overturned causing major congestion for vehicles.
The driver of the vehicle overturned and landed on its roof just meters from Petempich Bay. The vehicle was carrying three people at the time of the accident. Although an ambulance was called, no one from inside the truck was seriously injured.
National Guard Highways dealt with the backed up traffic while emergency vehicles made their way to the site of the overturned truck. Police did not say how the accident happened.
