Search warrant leads to discovery of Cozumel drug house

Cozumel, Q.R. — A search warrant issued for a property located in central Cozumel has lead to the discovery of drugs. The Attorney General of the State says that Investigative Police fulfilled a search warrant for a property located on South 7th Street of the Adolfo López Mateos neighborhood.

Once inside, police reported finding various doses of drugs including marijuana, crack and powdered cocaine. Inside, authorities also found two Pitbulls. The drugs were seized for evidence while the two dogs were taken into protective custody by the Attorney for Environmental Protection.

The National Guard were on site to protect the building while police investigated and collected evidence. There were no reports of arrests.
