Cancun, Q.R. — One arrest was reported after a man was shot to death in a residential area of Cancun. Police made the arrest in the Galaxias del Sol subdivision in SM 253 after the man was intercepted and shot.
The shooting took place during the early morning hours of Monday as he walked along Pagalo Avenue. Reports say the pedestrian was intercepted by two subjects on a motorcycle who shot him three times in the chest at close range before fleeing.
Area residents made the call to emergency services, reporting gunfire. The man was already dead by the time help arrived. Police have not confirmed if the arrest of a man from aboard a Guanajuato-plated truck three blocks away was in relation to the shooting.
