Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Elements of the Ministry of Public Security and Municipal Transit of Solidaridad arrested a 27-year-old man from Mexico City after he was found in possession of several types of drugs.
Municipal police patrolling aboard motorcycles in the Zazil-Ha neighborhood of Playa del Carmen noticed a male taxi passenger in the back seat handling a bag of what appeared to be marijuana. The taxi in which he was travelling was stopped with the driver voluntarily getting out. According to police, the backseat passenger remained inside the unit, verbally insulting police.
The subject did however, eventually descend from the taxi where he was inspected. Authorities found he was carrying several types of drugs including cocaine, marijuana and LSD. He was taken into custody.
