Tulum, Q.R. — Eight wrapped bricks of what are believed to be cocaine, were found in Tulum. On Monday, patrolling guards stumbled upon the packages. They were located washed up on a beach approximately eight kilometers north of the town of Tulum.
The armed guards who made the find were patrolling an area of the Tulum Hotel Zone when they came across the bricks. According to Tulum Public Security, the blocks of cocaine have since been measured, weighed and transferred to authorities who will try and determine their origin since these particular packages were labeled.
While most packages found washed up on beaches are marked with only numbers or letters, these bricks were labeled with an image of a horse. Forensics will use those labels to help in identifying the origin of the drugs.
