Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — The municipality of Puerto Morelos has unveiled a new entrance to the roadway known as Ruta de los Cenotes.
The newly designed entrance was inaugurated, which provides access to numerous ecotourism parks as well as connections to the communities of Central Vallarta, Delirio and Leona Vicario.
Puerto Morelos mayor, Laura Fernández said “We had to improve our tourism product and in that was to give a renewed image to the entrance to Ruta de los Cenotes.
“This is a worthy entry for a worthy destination. We built the roundabout and the access arch, added lighting, fittings, sidewalks, asphalt and road signs, among other work that include the placement of native plants, a water well and the landscaping,” she explained.
During the inauguration, the mayor thanked the federal government as well as Governor Carlos Joaquín González for always working as a team with Puerto Morelos.
On behalf of the Governor, Máximo García Rocha, undersecretary of State Tourism Planning, congratulated Puerto Morelos for the new Ruta de los Cenotes entrance which he says, will make the destination more competitive.
