José María Morelos, Q.R. — A new artistic centre has been opened in the town of José María Morelos. Governor Mara Lezama and Mayor Erik Borges Yam inaugurated the tourist stop Monday.

This space, located on José María Morelos Avenue and Tihosuco Street in San Juan Park, houses the municipal tourism department, exhibition and sales areas for community handicrafts and liaison offices for the state tourism department.
José María Morelos is a Mayan municipality with great tourism potential. Spaces have been created to showcase the community’s rich landscape, art, culture and craft heritage.
The new art centre is a modern space that will be a key element in promoting the municipality’s great artistic, cultural, craft and tourist potential. The space, according to authorities, was an investment of nearly 6.5 million pesos,
Mara Lezama reiterated that José María Morelos is on the Maya Ka’an destination route, and this stopover is a place everyone should visit.

After cutting the inaugural ribbon, Governor Mara Lezama, accompanied by President Erik Borges Yam, Representative José María Chacón, and state and municipal officials, toured the modules and exhibition spaces for gastronomy, crafts, and other services.
