Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — The Ministry of the Navy of Mexico has reported the rescue of a person aboard a kayak in the vicinity of Isla Mujeres.
The single-person rescue happened in Isla Mujeres waters while navy personnel were performing routine patrols, which is when they noticed the kayak was taking on water. Personnel made their way to the kayak where they pulled the 29-year-old French tourist onto their vessel and transported him back to land.
He was also asked to avoid recreational activities due to the COVID-19 contingency.
