Riviera Maya, Q.R. — A high speed two vehicle crash on a section of Riviera Maya highway left two with injuries. National Guard Highways were at the scene of accident Wednesday approximately 20 kilometers south of Playa del Carmen.
Both vehicles involved were reported driving at excessive speed when one clipped the other, sending one of the cars into a concrete wall. Authorities arrived to find two damaged vehicles as well as damage to a private perimeter wall.
The drivers were treated for minor injuries at the scene by responding paramedics. Authorities did not say how the two cars collided causing the drivers to lose control of their vehicles.
National Guard stayed to carry out the corresponding report since the accident involved damage to the vehicles as well as private property.
