Cancun, Q.R. — A mechanical workshop in Cancun was destroyed by fire after home-made bombs were thrown at it. According to preliminary information, the fire was intentionally set with Molotov cocktails.
Neighbors made the midnight report of the burning motorcycle shop to emergency personnel. They say that unknown persons threw the firebombs at the small shop around 12:30 a.m. then fled.
Firemen responded to the report in Region 259 of the Villas Otoch Paraíso de Cancún subdivision. The shop, which was constructed of wood, quickly burned and became completely consumed by flames.
The owner of the shop, 53-year-old Manuel N, told police it was neighbors who alerted him to the fire in his shop and that he did not know who may have caused the fire.
