Isla Mujeres health officials say protocols being reinforced after rebound in covid-19 cases

Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Health and hygiene protocols are being reinforced in Isla Mujeres due to the recent spike in covid-19 infections. The director of Municipal Health, María Teresa Gómez Herrera, called for social responsibility to strengthen hygiene protocols, reminding people that the covid-19 pandemic is still active.

Gómez Herrera says that the measures that were used should still be used which includes the proper use of face masks in crowded spaces, not eating food in common areas and the practice of physical distancing.

She says the most important thing now is to avoid a rebound in new cases in the municipality, adding that the preservation of health is essential.
