Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — Several people involved in a two vehicle highway crash were able to walk away Thursday. The accident was reported near the community of Muyil in the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto.
The crash involved a private car and company cargo truck. National Guard Highways were first on scene, requesting an ambulance for the injured. Paramedics treated the occupants of both vehicles for only minor scrapes and bruises.
According to the police report, the cause of the accident is still under investigation, however, mechanical failure and driver distraction are their two leading factors being looked into.
