Cancun, Q.R. — A four vehicle crash in Cancun sent five to hospital Monday. Two SUVs, a van and a bus were left damaged along the side of Luis Donaldo Colosio Boulevard for responding city transit officials.
The major crunch happened north of the Cancun airport Monday afternoon when, according to transit information, one of the vehicles was reversing on the Boulevard and was hit by the oncoming van.
According to the Transit Department, that then caused a chain reaction that involved two other vehicles.
The driver of the public transport van along with four passengers were reported injured. Ambulances transferred them to Cancun hospital. Transit authorities made reports of city damage by the other two involved vehicles which included at least one downed pole.
The driver of the vehicle alleged responsible was arrested at the scene.
