Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — A boa constrictor was released into the wild Friday by firemen after it was found trapped inside a fenced area. Residents in the Emiliano Zapata II neighborhood noticed the large snake around 11:00 a.m.

Felipe Carrillo Puerto firemen were called to the neighborhood around 11:00 a.m. to help search for the snake and relocate it. It was eventually found hiding under a pile of rocks and captured.
Firemen who responded to the report said the snake was about 1.20 meters long. The boa was later transfer it to a remote jungle area. The snake was set free in jungle area near Vigía Chico.
