Riviera Maya, Q.R. — At least three public servants have been removed from their positions inside the FGE (State Attorney General) after allegations of excessive payments. More than seven million pesos was awarded to three people in December labeled Christmas bonuses.
Those involved are reported to be FGE public servants from several departments of administrative and finance and human resources. The known Christmas bonuses given were for 240,000, 310,000 and 240,000 pesos. Those involved have been removed during an ongoing investigation following complaints of irregular exercise of public office.
The departments involved included the heads of Administration and Finance, Financial Resources, Accounting, Human Resources and Material Resources and General Services.
FGE head Raciel López Salazar has appointed others in their place. It is not clear if these appointments are permanent or temporary.

According to available data, in December, the now-dismissed officials were assigned bonuses that added up to more than seven million pesos, which, the FGE said, is in contrast to the austerity policies implemented by Governor Mara Lezama.
