Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — Area residents from the Constitución neighborhood took to the streets in protest of the lack of electricity. The angry group says they have been without power since Saturday when a pickup hit their pole.

The group were out Sunday night blocking a street in protest of the lack of CFE attention to the problem. On Saturday night, the driver of a private vehicle hit the base of a power pole, leaving residents in the dark.
Although numerous reports of the power failure was made to the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), the residents say no one has come to make the repair.
With flashlights in hand, families took to the streets and demanded an immediate solution since many of those affected also have businesses.
