Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — Paramedics transferred the driver of a small cargo truck to hospital Tuesday after he rolled along the highway. National Guard and firemen were requested to assist with the single vehicle Puerto Morelos accident Tuesday afternoon.
According to attending authorities, the driver rolled his truck while descending an overpass. The vehicle was heading toward Playa del Carmen when he lost control and landed his vehicle on its roof.
The unidentified driver suffered a variety of non-life-threatening injuries. Paramedics treated him at the scene before transferring him to hospital.
Federal highway traffic was affected during the mishap since the accident left one lane blocked. Authorities are investigating an official cause of the afternoon accident.
